meet the chau's: a bubbly, happy + bursting-with-energy family. our family session together was nothing short of laughter + a tonne of bubbles.
the chau's wanted to take their family portraits at "their local park" which turned out to be the queen elizabeth olympic park. it had the perfect mix of greenery + urban scenery, including london's iconic arcelormittal orbit (basically a massive red slide).
this family session was so special because it celebrated yau yau turning two, and yat yat joining the family 4 months ago. photographing a toddler is always a challenge because all they like to do is run (away from me!) + play. but then i found the secret to getting yau yau interested in photos - every time i'd try to take photos of just her parents, she'd run over + squeeze back into the spotlight. gurlfriend loved attention. other things to keep yau yau interested included blowing bubbles, tickles, smelling flowers, and a load of kisses.
thank you dear chau family for letting me document the love + joy between you all. thank you for trying out quirky poses by a black wall + entrusting me with your family portraits. i can't wait to see you all again!
